Chalon sur Saône or Chalon en Bourgogne is a city located in Saône et Loire (71) department, a town of 48,000 inhabitants. The Grand Chalon area comprises 120,000 inhabitants.
Chalon is less than an hour from Dijon and around one hour and a half from Lyon. Situated close to the TGV station of Le Creusot-Montchanin, Chalon is on the Paris-Lyon axis.
